Our History
What is now Baker & Zimmerman, P.A. began quite modestly in 1993 when Robert B. Baker relocated from Rhode Island to South Florida. The Firm began as a single office in an executive suite.
Over the next five years the Firm was forced to relocate on four separate occasions as continued growth demanded larger space. In 1998, Robert A. Zimmerman joined the Firm as an associate and added expertise in the areas of medical malpractice, nursing home neglect and general personal injury trial work.
In the year 2000, Mr. Baker and Mr. Zimmerman formed a partnership based upon trust, loyalty and total dedication to our clients. In 2004, the Firm purchased land on the southwest corner of Hillsborough Boulevard and State Road 441 in Parkland, Florida. On this site, the Firm built its permanent, principal offices. The building was designed and built to reflect the strength and stability which had become hallmarks of Baker & Zimmerman, P.A. over the years.
Over the past 13 years, the Firm has collectively recovered in excess of $100,000,000.00 on behalf of our clients. While we are quite proud of our past accomplishments, we remain true to the ideals that have motivated us to-date — compassion, tenacity, consistency, discipline and respect for others. We look forward to achieving results for our present and future clients with unwavering commitment to our ideals.
