Robert Zimmerman, a native of Long Island, New York, obtained both his B.A., and J.D. degrees from the University of Florida. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989 and started the practice of law with the Judge Advocate General’s Office of the United States Navy. While serving, Lieutenant Zimmerman was awarded the prestigious Navy Achievement Medal which was presented by the Secretary of the United States Navy. He has practiced in the areas of medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury and nursing home neglect since that time, having worked for several prominent law firms, including Bobo, Ciotoli, Bocchino & Newman, P.A., in West Palm Beach, and Sams, Martin & Lister, P.A., in Miami.
In 1998 he joined Robert B. Baker & Associates and formed the partnership of Baker & Zimmerman, P.A. During his legal career, Mr. Zimmerman has achieved numerous multi-million dollar awards. Mr. Zimmerman is a member of the Million Dollar Advocate’s Forum and has been named as one of South Florida’s top 100 attorneys by Florida Trend Magazine.
